Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern your registration for, and participation in, the Faith and Tech Conference 2026 (“the Conference”) and your use of www.faithandtechconf.com (“the Site”). By ticking the consent box on any form on the Site, or by attending the Conference, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle the personal information you provide. Where a specific activity (for example the hackathon) has its own published rules, those rules apply in addition to, and take precedence over, these Terms for that activity.
Who we are
The Conference is organised by The Covenant Nation Ikeja (“we”, “us”), through HOTHUB, a ministry of TCN Global. It takes place at 32 Kudrat Abiola Way, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos, on Saturday, 21 November 2026. General enquiries can be sent to info@faithandtechconf.com.
Registration and attendance
The Conference is free to attend. Registering through the Site reserves your place but does not guarantee entry if capacity is reached; we may operate a waitlist or close registration early once the venue is full. You must provide accurate, current information when you register, and let us know if your details change. We may verify registration details at the door and may decline entry to anyone who registered with false information, or whose attendance we reasonably believe would put other attendees, staff, volunteers or the venue at risk.
We may need to change the Conference programme, speakers, timings, or venue, or in exceptional circumstances postpone or cancel the Conference. Where this happens, we will notify registered attendees using the contact details provided at registration and take reasonable steps to keep disruption to a minimum. Because the Conference is free to attend, no monetary compensation is offered for such changes.
Code of conduct
We are committed to a Conference that is safe, respectful and welcoming for everyone. By attending, or by participating in the hackathon, volunteer programme, or as an exhibitor or partner, you agree to: (a) treat other attendees, speakers, volunteers, staff and venue personnel with courtesy and respect; (b) follow all venue rules and any instructions given by Faith and Tech staff or volunteers, including for safety and security; (c) refrain from harassment, discrimination, disruptive behaviour, or any conduct that is unlawful or puts others at risk; and (d) refrain from unauthorised commercial activity, solicitation, or distribution of materials on-site without our prior written consent.
We may refuse entry to, or remove from the venue, anyone whose conduct breaches this section, without refund or compensation (noting again that the Conference is free to attend). Serious breaches may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
Hackathon, volunteer, exhibition and partnership participation
Where you register a hackathon team, apply to volunteer, apply to exhibit, or submit a partnership enquiry, acceptance into that programme is at our discretion and is not guaranteed by submitting a form. We will contact you using the details you provide to confirm your status, next steps, and any activity-specific requirements (for example hackathon team size, judging criteria, exhibitor setup times, or volunteer shift scheduling).
Hackathon participants retain ownership of the intellectual property in ideas, code and materials they submit. By submitting an entry, you confirm you have the right to submit it, and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, present and promote your submission in connection with the Conference and its aftermath (for example in judging, showcases, and post-event coverage). Any post-hackathon product-launch guidance offered to winning teams does not transfer ownership of a team’s idea or work to us.
Giving commitments
The giving commitment form on the Site records your intention to give and does not process a payment. Gifts are made separately by bank transfer using the account details published on the Give page. We are not responsible for transfers made to incorrect account details obtained from any source other than the official Give page, and we recommend verifying account details directly with us if in doubt before transferring funds.
Age requirements
Participants in the hackathon and the volunteer programme must be at least 14 years old. Where a participant is under 18, we require a parent or guardian’s consent before we process their registration, as set out in our Privacy Policy. Outside the hackathon and volunteer programme, the Site and Conference are intended for adult participants.
Photography, video and livestream
The Conference may be photographed, filmed or livestreamed for reporting, promotional and archival purposes, and by attending you may appear in general event footage or photographs. Intellectual property in Site content
The Site’s design, branding, text and other content, other than material you submit through a form, belongs to us or our licensors and may not be copied, reproduced or used for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
Disclaimer and liability
We take reasonable care in organising the Conference, but we do not guarantee that the Site, or the Conference itself, will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of external factors beyond our reasonable control (for example venue, transport, or connectivity issues). To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your registration, attendance, or use of the Site. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
You attend the Conference and venue at your own risk and are responsible for your own belongings. Please follow all posted safety guidance and staff instructions on the day.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example as the Conference programme or our services change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Where changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to bring them to your attention, such as a notice on the Site.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and any dispute arising from them or from your attendance at the Conference will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
